Hearth and Pages: REVIEW POLICY

Reading has been something that I certainly love since I was a kid. For this reason, I’d be more than happy to hear from authors (both indie and published) and publishers, and I’d love to accept requests about reviews. Please note that I do not accept money for reviews. If I received a free book in exchange I will state that on my review.

About my reviews:

Not in the slightest I would consider myself as professional book reviewer, but I do love talking about books and dig deeper into it, hence the creation of this blog. I will give 100% honest review, this means that I won’t always give positive reviews. Even when I get a free copy, that does not mean I’ll automatically give a positive review. It will take between 5 days to 2 weeks from the time I have received a copy of the book until my review is up. This all depends on the length of the book, and my personal schedule. I have the right to decline review requests, especially if it’s conflicted with my schedule.

My reviews include a rating and synopsis or blurb about the book. I use a rating system of 1 to 5 stars. The book will also be filed under its designated rating category. If I received an ARC, I will also mentioned the release date. I will write at least 500 words per review (synopsis or blurb included), depending on the length of the book. Each review will features a pictures of the book, taken by me. My review will be written in English, even if the book I’m reading happens to be written in other language (i.e: Indonesian or Japanese). If asked, I can write the same review in Indonesian, but I will still include the English version.

Review copies I will accept:

I will accept ARC/galley copies as well as finished copies. I do accept ebooks (in .epub and .pdf-format) but prefer hardbacks or paperbacks when it’s possible.
